Jin Jing at the attack scene

One of Jinjing's attackers being subdued by a French policeman.

Jin Jing

This is the 2008 Beijing Olympic Torch bearer who was attacked by demonstrators in Paris.

Jin Jing used her body to shield the Torch from being snatched and walled off her attacker. She is a former Para-Olympic bronze medalist from China.

In China, Jin Jing has received nation wide praise for her bravery. Many Chinese regarded her as the most beautiful Torch Bearer for 2008.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
Hope all Winnipegers recognize the cake.

2007 Summer Recalled (3)

A little exercise after the lunch at the golf course.
Who do you think catches Gonggong first?

2007 Summer Recalled (2)

Our favorite trek up to the Grassi Lakes in August during the grand kids' annual visit.
The narrow log bridge straddles the outlet stream which becomes a hanging water fall.

2007 Summer Recalled (1)

This is one of several trips Nainai/Popo made with her Canmore hikers.

Crowfoot Iceberg or is it?

This is supposed to show part of the Crowfoot iceberg which feeds the Bow Lake.

Believe me, it is somewhere in that "general direction"!! (Most probably covered with snow.)

Our most recent converts

to the arts of SNOW-SHOEING.

The lonely free-standing hiking stick belongs to yours truly.

4,000,000 dollar home

My apologies!

This obviously does not capture the true "VALUE" of the show-home.

Num-Ti-Jah

Actually this is Bow Lake, one of the beautiful lakes within Banff National Park.

Num-Ti-Jah is the name of the LODGE nearby where we had lunch before the snow-shoeing.

In Stoney Plains, the name means pine marten.

snow shoeing at Num-Ti-Jah (Bow Lake)

Can't believe that the summit hiker has not been hiking for all this time!

OK, now you know that the X'mas present has been put to GOOD use.

Nai-nai/po-po's techniques need some brushing-up though.

You all recognize our good company.
